Yet even as we look forward to a happy and fruitful year in 2021, we would be remiss in not giving thanks for blessings received in 2020, with incredible music recording and video productions Factory Underground Studio took part in on behalf of our amazing clients.
Factory Underground Produced Music in a National Commercial Campaign by Walmart
Music for the commercial was produced/mixed by Kenny Cash with engineer Billy Gardella, and featured a unique arrangement by Michael Carlotta of Aretha Franklin's track "You're All I Need to Get By."
This commercial was a definite challenge in that Walmart wanted Aretha's voice on the track - we were able to pull her vocal from her master using a great software called Lalal.ai, then drop it into the re-created track. Fun!
Jose Feliciano "Feliz Navidad" Performance at Factory Underground Featured on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and ABC Good Morning America
We recorded the vocals and guitars for his latest album, "Behind This Guitar," and enjoyed having him perform in our studio for a number of streamed-TV appearances. We also hosted his world wide streaming concert, celebrating 50 years of Feliz Navidad. You would never imagine a sweeter, more down to earth musician than this man who has won 9 Grammy Awards, and has worked with the most famous artists throughout the world. That Jose Feliciano considers the Factory Underground his home is truly a blessing for us!
Goose Releases New Music Mixed by Kenny Cash; Performs Goosemas Christmas Concert on the Roof of Rockefeller Center
Our long time-client Goose has come a long way since Kenny Cash recorded, mixed and mastered their debut album, Moon Cabin, and since the boys performed their very first "Goosemas" Christmas Show at Factory Underground Studio. The latest "Goosemas" was performed live on the roof of Rockefeller Center in New York City, streamed to a live audience of over 11,000 people, and raised $45,000 for Save Our Stages Foundation! The band released an album called "Alive and Well" in 2020, mixed and mastered by Kenny Cash.
Factory Underground Produces Stream of SRG Recording Artist Vivian Green Broadcast Live on SIRUS XM
Factory Underground really upped our live streaming capabilities in 2020 and our all-star video production team got a chance to prove itself on the live stream of SRG Recording Artist Vivian Green. Her incredible live performance at Factory Underground was broadcast in real-time over Sirius XM. There was even a live audience that tuned in over Zoom!
