The Sugar Maker is a short documentary about Ridgefield, CT farmer and sugar maple producer Pete Campbell, his passion and process. Campbell gives the viewer a unique insight into art of maple sugar making, and his deep connection with his land. It was filmed on location at Campbell's Horseshoe Farm in scenic Ridgefield, CT. .


The film was produced by Factory Underground Studio, directed by Ethan Isaac, co-owner of Factory Underground Studio, with videographers William Fitzgerald, Guzman Gonzalez, and Tom Stewart. It was edited by Fitzgerald.


The film has been submitted into the 2024 Ridgefield Independent Film Festival in the category of Made in CT-Short Documentary, where the film makers hope to premiere the movie in the town where it was filmed.


When he is not making Maple Sugar syrup, Campbell is a songwriter and a music artist who records at Factory Underground; he distributes his music through its Factory Underground's subsidiary label Pilot Light Records.
