John Shyloski

Producer | Engineer | Photographer

John Shyloski is an accomplished engineer, mixer, and producer with over 15 years in the music business. He has been twice recognized by the Grammys for his outstanding work: first with the late blues legend Johnny Winter on his 2004 Grammy nominated ‘I’m a Bluesman.’ In 2011, John also earned a Grammy nomination for best engineered album with Seth Glier’s ‘The Next Right Thing,’ which he had both mixed and mastered. Other notable artists he has worked with include Rakim, Dianna Ross, Mike Stern, Dennis Chambers, Gordon Gano (Violent Femmes), Bill Evans, Bob Mintzer, Stephen Kellogg, Javier Colon, State Radio, moe., Bomb Squad, Rachael Sage, MPress Records, Edisun, and Che-Val.

After spending many years as the head engineer at the famous Carriage House Studios in Stamford, CT, he decided to freelance his talent and spent time working on projects in the NYC and MA area. He is currently based out of The Factory Underground in Norwalk CT, where he has built and designed his own mixing and overdub room.

Beyond his music accomplishments, John is a gifted photographer. He is the lead visual creative for the Factory Underground, where he has been crafting promo shots, music videos, and album art for many of the studio’s clients.
